Discover Oliva’s 8.5 km of golden-sand beaches and shallow waters.
Beaches in the North:
Terranova-Burguera
One of the only unspoilt beaches left in the Mediterranean. By starting at the southern bay which has calm waters, or the breakwater of the Oliva marina, you can go for a walk along the dunes and enjoy the beach’s magnificent landscape.
Beaches in the Centre:
Pau-Pi
This area has the longest tradition as a summer vacation spot. The beach has a play area for children, and facilities for people with reduced mobility. Along Avenida del Mar Mediterráneo, you can enjoy the beach’s atmosphere with a lively pedestrian area which has restaurants, ice-cream parlours, as well as other things to do.
Aigua Blanca
Aigua Blanca, which is surrounded by a natural dune and has a seaside promenade, connects the beach to the new residential areas which have a low population density.
This beach also has a selection of restaurants and beach bars, where you can grab something to eat or drink in a shady spot, all with a view of the sea.
Beaches in the South:
Rabdells
Rabdells is a practically unspoilt beach, surrounded by a ridge of dunes. The dune formation is great for those who are looking for a secluded spot where they can sunbathe in peace. A path runs along the top of the dune, where you can go for a leisurely stroll. There are also campsites in this area with direct access to the beach, for those who fancy an outdoor adventure.
Aigua Morta
The dune continues all the way along the beach, leaving behind the more rustic zones and campsites, and instead opening up to give way to the sea and the river Bullet, whose fresh fishing water provides a change to the salty water of the sea. Here you can find the residential zone of Oliva Nova, which has many sporting facilities. For example, there’s a golf course with 18 holes from which you have a lovely view of both the mountains and the sea. There’s also 4 natural-turf football pitches which are used by many professional teams who play internationally. Last but not least, there’s a Mediterranean equestrian event (the MET) which takes place in the winter and leads to a record number of people staying in local hotels.
Les Deveses
This is Oliva’s southernmost beach, near to where Oliva borders the city of Denia. It’s ideal for sailing thanks to the so-called “Garbí” wind, which blows in from Montgó and brings fresh breezes, even in the hottest months of the year.
